You know how some football games are only viewable in certain areas? Like if the Rams aren't being shown in my area it's 'blacked out' for me because of my location.
Now the World Cup was being shown EVERYwhere... but Youtube still wants to know your location. They are terrified that you might see something they don't want you to see because of your location.... so they shut down the WC to make sure they knew where I was even though EVERYwhere was ok to watch the World Cup. - JamesJM
