Heard the same thing.
Haven't been to Manila since 2003 when my grandmother passed.
Went thru in 99 on the way to Memphis when they were splitting up the base.
It was sad. But did get a good pic in front of the big metal B-52 at a gate entrance.
Last I heard the hangers and buildings are a FedEx maintenance facility.
But man in the 60's that place was hopping.
The B-52's would come over grandparents home 300 ft or so,
heading west, could smell the exhaust.
BTW, met a guy in Port Aransas Tx, ran a cigar shop,
who was also stationed there in the 80's
