Cora Beth and Harriet Oleson were definitely cut from the same cloth. One thing I never understood was the tolerance shown towards her by the townsfolk. She looked down her nose at them all, was narrow-minded, selfish as all get out, and one of the most unlikeable characters on family television. Yet.. she endured season after season. She was one of those "people you love to hate". Nels was sorely unappreciated and way too good for her.
