Being a fan of History, I have always wanted to see Jimmy Carter's home town. It is VERY tiny. We stopped at a welcome center. All the things to see are less than a half mile apart......1976 Campaign HQ at an old train depot, his boyhood home, his current home, High School....... It's a VERY quiet place. Not much to it but glad I got to see it. I am a Conservative and have thought Carter was a bit of a weak President but I have always thought he was / is a very good human being. In a way, I found it sad because I recall always seeing he, his Wife, Mother and Brother Billy on the news. There were always news stories from and about Plains Georgia. Now?? It is just Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter and those two are in their mid 90s.
