That's pretty typical..

I see current videos of bands from the 80's and the first thing I notice is that the song itself is generally lower in pitch, meaning the band is tuning down in order to help the vocalist.. as you get older, you just lose the high end of your voice.. it sucks, but doesn't affect me much because I had a crappy voice at a young age.. I can stay in tune, as playing guitar has given me good control of that, but I just have a "made for instrumental" type voice..

In other words, you can scratch your nails across a chalkboard and it can be in tune, but it still is annoying as hell.. lol
