Today, I planned to chop down/ clean out my fern bed that was damaged by our heat wave 2 weeks ago. I started at 0700. About and hour and a half into it, my ONE MONTH old Craftsman weed eater did the SAME thing the prior one did. SOOO, I dropped what I was doing and took it back. This time, I bought a Black & Decker weed eater. It started out great! Finished the Fern bed and carried over to the rest of the yard. Got to the front yard and started smelling something odd. Thought it might be my neighbor working on his boat. When I started the flower bead, I noticed it was VERY dusty. So I thought! It was smoke coming from the THREE HOUR old weed eater. As soon as I looked down, I saw BLUE sparks n flame coming from it?????? Now I'm pissed because it is getting REALLY hot outside. But baaaaaack to Home Depot. I bought a Toro that FINISHED!! Mowing? I wanted to finish by Noon but NOOOOO. We had a tiny storm cell that sat over our block for 30 minutes. When it stopped, JUST what I needed....BRIGHT sun and freakish humidity. I finished my yard around 3:15. Over 8 hours after I started!! Me and Weed Eaters are not friends right now! LOL
