at that post, Jimmy.. No, stupid, as a word, works well for me.. lol
Believe me, sea snakes are the one creature I stay away from underwater.. I don't see very many, tho, because they don't hang in the areas we usually dive.. Now, Green Moray Eels are my nemesis.. In Belize (and anywhere in the Caribbean) you stick and kill every Lionfish you see.. they were accidentally introduced to the area and have no natural predators and are overrunning the reefs, killing everything.. So, we kill every one we see - its a general rule with all dive operations in the Caribbean..
So, we thought we'd get smart, kill the Lionfish, then feed them to the Green Moray Eels, barracuda and Red Snapper in an attempt to get them to eat the Lionfish and hopefully then prey on Lionfish... No...... that didn't work.. the Eels began preying on divers thinking we'd hand them a free meal.. So, In Belize we generally get attacked at least once every dive by a Green Moray Eel.. I have video kicking them away - and believe me, with THAT mouth they are scary as hell..
I did have one attack me for real - hit my camera.. unfortunately it wasn't rolling.. it FREAKED me how how hard he hit the camera,, it was like a freight train hit me.. I used to stick the camera in Green Moray Eel's mouths and video - they didn't know what to do.. I keep a healthy distance now..
Here's on of the latest Moray Eel vids..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
