Anyone ever have a pet get into a sneeze fest?

Our black cat, "Max", has been sneezing quite a bit the last 18 hours or so. He is known to have minor sneeze spells but the past almost 24 hours, he has sneezed quite a bit. I'm assuming it's just pollen in the air but he did not sneeze much last Spring. Called the Vet and they said it's not a big issue unless green goo starts coming out. SO FAR, none of that. I just sprayed the house with Febreeze to see if that might help and I'm keeping the windows closed.

Anything else that I might be able to do??
