I get it. I'm sorry to see Seeger go along with Kiki and Joc. These were kids that grew up in the organization. I miss them and will miss Seeger. But had I been the GM I would have done the same thing as far as Scherzer and Seeger. Just can't afford that type of money for someone often hurt (Seeger) and a good pitcher who is aging.
Speaking of Scherzer I think I know why he didn't pitch in that last game. I'm betting his agent and he sat down for a long-or short-talk about not risk furthering the injury given the prospect looming of a huge free agent payday.
