I am just so impressed. I had a drum set when I was about 9 and from what I remember, I pulled a Pete Townsend on it within the first few days of getting it. Oddly my parents weren't upset at all.
I picked up a guitar around the same time. As a kid I didn't realize things took effort. I thought I would get an instrument and instantly be great. And not only that but magically the one instrument would play all the parts of the song. Completely clueless. But you see it on TV all the time... someone is handed a guitar and they start singing and drums, bass and piano all magically come from the one person. I never questioned it.
Anyway, my heart is just happy watching these kids overachieve. This guy is 9 and he totally nails this (what I feel like is a) particularly complicated drum part.
And of course it's Tool... I was looking to see if the 11 year old girl named Yoyoka had started covering any of their songs and came across this kid.
