Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many cheesy cookie cutter neighborhoods popping up. I mean... One day you can see an area that's THOUSANDS of acres of pretty wood lands. In six months, it's 500 homes and aaaaaaanother strip mall. I always advise people to look outside / away from the major cities. Orlando is a crowded / traffic NIGHTMARE! I-75 between Ocala and Tampa is exploding! When my Dad took me to my first Rams game in person, back in 1984, I remember MANY miles of pretty Orange Groves from about 60 miles South of Ocala all the way past Zephyrhills. They are ALL gone and developed.
Personally, I love some of the sleepy towns in North / Central Florida or the Coast, South of Tampa. The panhandle is a target for Hurricanes every Summer.
