My daughter is 11. This morning she was talking about how difficult social media makes things. She said she was self conscious about her clothes. I've got no experience with that. If she concerned about it now then how is she going to cope when she is 12 - 18?
I can tell her that people's opinions aren't worth crap but that really doesn't mean anything. People want people to like them and not say bad things about them. I say I couldn't care less about what people think but its not 100% true. But it took me a long time to get to where I am with that... and that was well before snap chat. The only reason I know what snap chat is is to do research on what it is because I am a parent. Honestly, the people who started snap chat had to know the moral dilemma and chose the financial reward.
