Was pulling off I-40 and onto the "original" Route 66... and THEN.... actually seeing Burma Shave signs. If you don't know google it... they're historic.

Passing thru the town of Seligman, Arizona... we LOVED finding that Seligman's citizen's aren't about to allow the fame of Route 66 to die. laughing smiley The town was filled with classic cars... I imagine a club of some sort that love driving the old Route 66. Motels still open, from THEN. Even a gas station or two.

We also passed thru Peach Springs which was the inspiration for "Radiator Springs" in the movie "Cars"... BUT... and alas, there is nothing left there. A couple old buildings is all... no signs, nothing.
