He had a massive heart attack at home this morning. We worked at the same station ,16 years ago. The guy was on THE busiest Rescue (Ambulance) in the City of Jacksonville but never ever @#$%& or griped. In fact, he lightened the mood. I was a brand new Engineer, newly promoted, on the Engine at that station (The busiest Engine in the City. Tom Barber made work fun. He never talked down to people or about people. I had just recently told my Wife that he was in my top 5 of great guys on JFRD. I tell ya, I have been numb all morning.
