To me the violence in Kill Bill (1 & 2) was very cartoonish and so I didn't consider it violence porn. However, my wife, like you, turned it off almost immediately and refuses to watch it again. I've always liked Uma Thurman and the music fit perfectly. The battle at the end of # 1, in the snow, was, to me, actually quite beautiful, with the snow flakes falling, etc. It's also important to note that I was once a member of the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad.
