A Wine Recommendation...

December 26, 2020 05:11PM
Until not that long ago I was pretty much a "Red" only wine drinker.... and I still much prefer it... HOWEVER.... I have come to appreciate white's, and especially with certain types of food.

Soooo... my daughter has a neighbor with access to some of the best wines, (I don't know how), and her neighbors are like I used to be... that is "Red Only"... so they give her all the "Whites" they get.... thus I discovered:

The Frank Family 2018 Carneros Chardonnay... it is the best white wine I've ever had. It is NOT sweet, so if you're hoping for sweet it's not for you. It's not overly expensive, either; nor cheap. Probably around $30 - $40 per bottle.

I really struck out on my Chianti this year... Chianti has always been my favorite wine, so I stocked up with 4 bottles for the holidays..... the first 3 were not good. Drinkable, and that's it. The 4th was better than ok but FAR from most good Chianti's I've had. No recommendation for Chianti.

A self-realization.... anything up to 3 'medium sized' glasses of wine and I sleep like a baby.... anything over 3 and I'm up half the night. The way I'm defining "medium" is a bottle of wine is about 5 medium glasses of wine. - JamesJM
