A Macbook, probably all laptops...

have a rubber seal around the screen. The seal on my MacBook had popped out, they goofed when they repaired this last March. It's not a big deal... but my laptop is under warranty so I took it in today for repairs.

Sooooo... I have a 13" Macbook laptop... the rubber seal is just that.. not a thing fancy about it.... probably find one anywhere in the USA at your local hardware store. So how much do think they charge to fix it? laughing smiley

Again, mine is under warranty so I'm paying nothing... but if it was NOT under warranty what do you think they would charge? Again... it's ONLY the rubber seal coming out, glue came undone?

Go ahead, guess high, guess ridiculously high and then double it. Not under warranty... $478. Not sure what the seal itself would cost, (parts), because you can't calculate something of that little value. Labor? I'd say you're looking at a good solid 2 minutes of labor.

Yes, thought of doing it myself BUT... that would void the warranty. - JamesJM
