Maybe that'll help me out, some.. I REALLY nailed the focusing on the moon lat night... I had it dead to rights in the viewfinder... but on click, the resulting photo was not sharp.. so, something isn't right with my lens.. That's what you get when you buy a $109 lens.. lol... I looked up a similar Nikon lens and it was listed at $68K.. I'd be afraid as hell to shoot with a $68K lens...
So, I dunno what to do.. when you nail the focus, but the photo is not focused, something isn't calibrated or to set correctly.. I experimented last night with lowering the ISO - to reduce grain - but then you gotta slow down shutter speed.. with this Vivitar lens, for some reason I can't adjust f/stops.. I stick the Nikon lens back on and its good to go.. I guess that's what you get when you buy a $109 Vivitar lens.. lol
