I've got 5th grade homework coming soon. 
So we love Moana. The music is wonderful and now that you mention it I think I can hear the similarities in writing style. I love "How Far I'll Go" because of the writing.

George Washington in Hamilton was played by Chris Jackson. Although he wasn't credited in the movie, Chris Jackson provided the singing voice for Chief Tui... Moana's father ... in the Disney movie "Moana". On that same note, Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote all the music and lyrics for Hamilton and starred as Alexander Hamilton, wrote the music for the movie Moana. If you listen to the song "You're Welcome" sung by Maui (Dwayne Johnson), there's a rap section in the song which is classic Lin-Manuel.
Disney is doing a live re-make of The Little Mermaid and Daveed Diggs (Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson) is set to voice Sebastian, the lobster.
Anthony Ramos, who played two roles in Hamilton (John Laurens and Alexander Hamilton's son Phillip).... was the voice of King Trollex in the movie Trolls World Tour.
