my beard... all of it, mustache included... no shaving down a section at a time... goat, mustache, off, IOW.
I didn't recognize myself when I completed the job. I donned a mustache from 1971 until 1997. After that I've mostly had a mustache but not always... a beard came and went. This one I shaved off today was the longest I ever had a beard. And I'm guessing at the 4 years... could have been 5, maybe even a little more.
So, the reaction... well, only two to report so far. Youngest grandson, 10, who had a one word review, "Terrifying". And my wife but I really can't count her.... here's why... when I start a beard she HATES it, loathes it actually... then when I shave it off she repeats the process... she hates it, loathes it.
I came up with what I thought was a very good excuse.... we're going into the 100's this week, actually far over 100ยบ.... so you know.... 'cooler'. Of course, my wife knows that's complete BS... and she's right, that ain't why I done it.
It's only been about an hour, and it's WEIRD... I can't even describe it. I don't mean 'looking' at myself... I never do that anyway... I mean air hitting my face, nothing there when I scratch my chin, not sure I'm glad I did it. But then there is this:
