I've seen that episode on Air Disasters..

or a similar show.. That was a pretty amazing feat, as well.. Since this happened before Sully's flight, you'd have to imagine Sully and most pilots had heard about the success of this flight ditching in a river.. maybe that helped him decide so quickly to ditch in the Hudson.. or not, I dunno!
