I’m cautiously optimistic about having a legit NFL season.

And some kind of a shortened MLB season, too.

Sports aside, Pfizer, the company in question working on the vaccine in question, is partnering on this with a German firm. In fact the first tests for their vaccine candidate were in Germany. The German firm, in turn, is working with a Chinese firm. So this is an international effort.

And some countries got ahead of the curve on this in ways the USA didn't--like Japan, which is affected by the virus at a much lower rate because of policies they implemented early on. This is all without a full lockdown, something Japan never did.

So really it's human ingenuity.
