Welcome from El Capitan..

which just successfully installed.. I also just successfully installed the Presonus software which is what caused all of this to be necessary.. In order to continue to use the Adobe Suite and Office suite I had to download a legacy version of Java, but got that installed and everything appears to be working correctly..

I no longer have iPhoto, looks like.. Has upgraded to Photo and am currently preparing the library, which I guess is normal..

El Capitan is the major OS upgrade directly after Yosemite, which was what I had.. So, I just went up one major OS.. I only needed to actually load an upgrade to Yosemite, but decided to go up a full OS.. After El Capitan, looks like I can upgrade to Sierra and maybe High Sierra.. after that is Mojave, where people start having issues with Adobe..

Yeah, I read an article about Photoshop and After Effects being 64 bit and not running correctly on the latest OS.. Supposedly some tricks to make them work..

I also did read about running two different OS's on the Mac.. I do have Parallel Desktop installed with a version of Window 8 I can run at will - but it sucks, so why bother?
