When we still had Bonney (our Scottie....died age 6 from cancer) we would take trips always always buy her something, or ourselves something that pertained to the breed. After she passed we amassed quite a bit of stuff. We had a glass table that we set up with all her "stuff" stands behind the sofa in the den.....I also put together a kinda memorial in the back made up of some wrought iron pieces I had picked up at various work sites I worked at.....used a chandelier, inverted it (turned it upside down) put on top of a wrought iron side table and put tea lights on the chandelier with colored glass globes....have that on the back deck near the fire pit table.....lite it up in the summer every once in a while.
Like I say the Bradford Pear is an OK tree, save for the smell they give off in the Spring....you'll be getting that sooner or later...it ends when the blossoms drop....I heard on a gardening show that the smaller the tree is that you plant the faster it grows....Your picture seems to show that it has not really branched out as of yet....maybe it'll start it odorous duties at that time?
