Baseball Season... and sports 'Moms'....

One of those Facebook memories popped up for me today regarding a story I wrote 3 years ago regarding my youngest daughter... I may have posted it here... so I'm not going to repost the whole story... but the gist of the tale is:

You don't mess with a sports Mom. 3 years ago my daughter was sitting behind home plate and the opposing pitchers Dad was right in front of her. HUGE guy, body builder. He was calling the pitches for his son using hand signals. I have no idea if the opposing coach was aware of this. So my daughter picked up on it....

As our batters came to the plate and the opposing pitcher's Dad started signaling in the pitch my daughter began shouting out the called pitch, "CURVE..... FASTBALL...". At first the guy thought she was just lucky... but then he realized my daughter was on to him.... at which time he stood, in great exasperation, and called out to his son on the mound, LOUDLY so we all heard it, "I can't help you anymore".

Just possibly the proudest moment of my daughter's life.
