We have been cussing and commiserating in our disgust and disappointment with the Cardinals just about ALL season. They had a stellar April and have been mediocre to awful ever since, pretty much holding down 3rd place in the NL Central all this time.... until about 3 weeks ago when they caught fire. As of today, they're tied with the Cubs for 1st!! They're playing GREAT baseball.... finally... and they're doing it without Matt Carpenter, Yadier Molina, or Marcell Ozuna who are all on the IL. The Cards we're seeing now are the Cards we thought we were going to see all season. Why it took them so long I don't know. There are only 19 series left this season. We're going to have to win around 13-14 of them to make the post-season. Not sure we'll make it. We've got the Texans, Dodgers, Diamondbacks still to play in addition to the Brewers 3 more times and the Cubs 3 more times.
