I participate in a Facebook page sponsored by the Amputee Coalition.
At times, they'll show videos of what some have accomplished. As mine is a minor condition in comparison I watch in amazement as to what they can do.
i'm most moved by the videos of children. . . .
In one case. . . they'll show children, some as double amputees, performing ballet.. . or acrobatics. . . . or contortionist enabled complex dances one might see on a street corner in Harlem.. It's their normal.
Probably THE most moving involves the very young and watching their eyes light up with a Cheshire cat smile when they take their first steps with a prosthetic.
They're all so brave.
