I just read your posted article. Thank you so very much. My childhood was spent many an afternoon at Wrigley Field in south central. I never met her but heard her often at every game I attended-which was a lot. Bob Kelley -the initial L.A. Rams radio announcer-would broadcast the games on the radio and you could hear her loud and clear. Kelley was the first person I knew who named her Angel Annie. Those were great days in a great stadium. At the time the Angels were a farm team for the Cubs and the stadium here was not only named Wrigley but was a duplicate of Wrigley in Chicago ivy walls and everything. It was just smaller holding (I think) 16,000 fans. Now and then the Yankees would play an exhibition game there against the Angels. I saw DiMaggio, Mantle, there.
Thx again for bringing back memories of my childhood.
