As you know I've been going to games for an awful long time-and have seen the growing violence. I've also seen the crowds becoming much younger than when I was growing up with the Rams. IMO the games are so expensive that a family is priced out and only a single man or woman can really afford the game. Also, there seems to be more of an identification with certain teams meaning that it becomes personal to the young fan-hence the "not in my house" mentality. Add alcohol to the equation and your going to have more civil disobedience. While you and I can respect a fan of an opposing team the young adult seems that as a weakness. How and why we got that way -who knows. To me it relates back to parenting. IMO people that should be having children are no longer having children and those that should not are having more and more children. Depressing huh?
