and I think it's a husband and wife that co-author them.....

They write mysteries set in the southwest, more specifically the Anasazi area... monument valley, Chaco Canyon, etc. But they do it with a somewhat unique perspective.... the stories alternate between today and then.... basically, archaeologists find 'evidence' and try to piece together the clues while every alternate chapter, or so, explains the actual events in 'real time'.

It helps a lot if you've traveled thru the area.
