but I'm not sure how radio works.. Clubs that have live (or canned) music are required to pay about a $5k a year fee to ASCAP for the right to play copyrighted music, or cover bands to play copyrighted music from established artists.. I know a certain amount of those proceeds go to the artists in exchange for the clubs to play their music.. I would assume radio is similar..
