Not me ! Since the attack on my friend there just are not too many divers that hunt the big yellowtail there anymore. But some do. Roughly 5 yrs ago another friend of mine was spearfishing Guadalupe in open blue water south of where the great whites congregate for the cage divers. The shark charged him on the surface pushing the butt of his gun up into his face breaking his nose-and then disappeared. He hasn't gone back in the water yet. When it comes to white sharks I'm just a big chicken. I don't mind the cages but out in the open-No way. Yet there are some who swim with them. One is a girl from Hawaii named Kimi Werner. You should google her. She is really something! My theory is that you might be able to swim with them if you are sure they are full of food or you know they are really sick for some reason. Nevertheless, I'm not about to chance it in the open.
