And a month before she was sunk. About 11 years ago, I ran into an old fella who served on her from sea trials till she sank. He witnessed the Doolittle Raiders taking off and the ill fated Torpedo #8 at Midway. I'm sure has passed away some time ago. He was pretty frail in 2006.

Yeah CV8 v. CV12 ...I forgot about that.

So, planes? Does your model include planes? Which ones? I am just curious and interested.

  Hornet is CV8. It was sunk in 1942 at Battle of Santa Cruz
