My girlfriends 27 year old daughter drives a 2010 Toyota Corolla. She took it to Sears to have the oil changed. She has always used 1040 oil. Her fathers orders (which I happen to agree with). They refused to change her oil unless they could use synthetic, and charge something like $80?!?! They flat-out told her, that her car HAD to use synthetic! Which is a complete lie. Needless to say, she told them to F-off, and how it was no wonder Sears was closing stores left & right.
I have had oil changers try to sell me on synthetic & high-mileage motor oil before. But in the end, it was always MY car, MY choice.
I never heard of such poor business practice in my life.
Anyone ever have this happen to them...... ANYWHERE?
