and Safari is the only browser I can't watch vids not eh Rams board on.. I can watch them on iPad with Safari, but not on the rocket launching iMac I have.. I tried to download a newer version of Safari, but apparently you can't - you hafta download an entire new OS to get a new Safari.. and vids directly on youtube are not playing anymore, either - I do have the latest Flash plugin installed..
So, that made me wonder, Atlantic.. what OS are you using? I am stuck on Yosemite, so two OS's behind, I think.. I need to back up everything and download a current OS - think that would probably solve the issue.. My iPad probably has a newer OS installed - that's my guess, anyways...
