I was 10 yrs old at the time. It really rained hard all day ! I wish it would rain like that again.

Speaking of a " birth canal". I was watching "Silk" a British production involving barristers and solicitors. The finest legal series I've ever seen. Anyway the head of "chambers" is very ill and doesn't want any of his people to know he may be dying.. So speaking to one of his barristers about life he says:" life begins like a rocket -your shot out of this long and narrow birth canal and after a few seconds your rocket takes you directly into a brick wall !." The barrister looks at him incredulously and says "so what's the point"? The head of chambers looks at him softly and says:" enjoy those few seconds".
