To repeat myself for the eleventy-billionth time, I'm not very knowledgeable about soccer.
I don't think the USA is very good. In this match they are without doubt the aggressor, and Iran is under constant pressure.... and maybe that is enough for the 'trained eye' to say "The USA is a good soccer team"..... but it doesn't seem so to me. It's what they do with their chances. Choices made, Awareness, passing ability, all seem far too haphazard and frantic compared to the other teams considered 'good'.
They seem to me to mimic the right moves but seem to lack the finesse and hmmmm, how to say it? The 'reasoning' for why you do "such and such".
Too bad RamUK isn't around.... he could show me to be a complete fool regarding soccer. But since he ain't around.... you're just going to have to deal with my blathering incoherence. - JamesJM
