Family football tradition coming to an end...

It all began back in 2013.... In the center photo is Mason, my oldest grandson, standing with my grandson Ashton, (the ballboy), for the national anthem.

On the left my grandson Gavin standing with my youngest grandson, Elijah, (ballboy)

And on the right Ashton standing with Elijah (ballboy).

Even earlier Mason and Gavin were also ballboys... but for my hometown Tranquillity, not Kerman.... back in 2008 and for the only Tranquillity team to win a Valley Championship.

All of them team members as ballboys until they, themselves, played HS ball.... well, not Elijah yet. When the officials would come to the sidelines to instruct the ballboys on their duties our coach(s) would let the officials know, "Don't worry about my ballboy, he's way ahead of you".

Next year Elijah will be the only one left in school, K thru HS Sr.... except my grandson Nico who lives in England... who is the Lakenheath Lancers QB. More about that in a post below this one. Maybe we should fly Elijah to England next year to stand with Nico?
