I was just about to hit the install new OS button when...

It threw up a notice that by installing the new OS, I would no longer be able to run the entire Adobe Creative Suite, my copy of Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc) and a few other programs I've spent lots of money on in the past..

In order to continue using these programs, I would have to go to their Cloud versions, meaning I would no longer have hard copies of the software and would have to pay a monthly subscription fee for the rights to use any Adobe software or Microsoft Office software.. We have to pay the monthly fees at work for our Adobe Suite, Office, 3D Max and Unity.. and the monthly fees are NOT cheap..

So, I'm completely SCREWED because I used the Adobe Suite every day for almost everything I create and/or edit.. Photos, video, animations, vector graphics.. Plus I use Word quite a bit, as well..

You know what this totally reminds me of? A freaking drug dealer... "First one's free, kid" then after that you gotta pay every month.. I think I have it figure dout at around about $170 a month I'd have to pay to use the software I currently own hard copies of (that I bought for about $1000 bucks) and use for free..

So, I either LOSE all my existing programs by updating the OS, or I leave things as-is and can't use half my stuff with my new Presonus Studio One.. they literally have you by the nads..
