That is 5 pieces that belonged to my Great Grandmother. One of the legs is JUUUUST about to break off. I talked with a old neighbor who used to live in the neighborhood I grew up in who shines brass and collects antiques. He picked up the business from his late Dad (The old WWII Pilot who treated us neighborhood kids with tough love) I asked if he repairs wooden furniture or knew of anyone who did. He told me that 40-45 years ago, there were 25 places in Jacksonville a that his Dad trusted. He said these days, there are maybe 2 and he knew of neither. I looked it up and sure nuff...there was just 2-3. LUCKILY, I found one that has great reviews and seems decent. My old neighbor said that Antique Trade Shows are fading fast. He said the last two generations have really lost interest.
Personally, I think it is because we have become such a disposable Society. EVERYTHING is cheap crap that is tossed in no time. People have no knack for keeping things around.
