Arthur Crofton, who was born and raised in England, passed unexpectedly yesterday. He had been on Jacksonville's Radio for at least 42-44 years. Simply one of those presences that was calming. He was usually on easy listening Stations. Always called to M.C. events. When I had the honor of attending a local Battle Of Midway Reunion, back in 2011, Mr Crofton was M.C. I was REEEEALLY impressed with his knowledge of it all. He never ever said or did anything controversial. Was simply a damn good D.J. / Radio Personality with a great personality. He did not need "Shock" to be listened to and respected.
