Been there, done that..

Scraped popcorn, painted ceilings, retextured all walls, repainted all walls, I replaced all the outside Masonite and/or wood and painted it, all new baseboards, doors, crown molding, all new electrical fixtures, recessed lights with dimmers in every room, ceiling fans, kitchen cabinets, granite counters, new backsplash, retiled both bathrtubs and refinished both tubs, new toilets, sinks counters etc.... I did it all.. luckily my ex was smart enough to sign it all over to me cuz she did NOTHING.. I would fought tooth and nail for the house..

Good luck..,it's a pain, but worth it later when you're done..
