Anyone know the best thing for sick Azaleas??

I have 2-3 that are looking weak. They are still trying to bloom but the branches simply look fragile and the leaves are not a rich green. There are better looking sprouts popping up close the the main trunk though. Is there any remedy or should I just prune them down to a nub and leave the healthy sprouts?

This is where I miss my Dad. He was a Mack Daddy of Azaleas! LOL
