I went to Robert E Lee, Sr High. The same school where most of Lynyrd Skynyrd went. That school has turned to crap. None of the teams are any good. We USED to have a great football team. LeRoy Butler and Edgar Bennett graduated one year behind me. I played Baseball when the Baseball team was pretty good. That held up for 3-4 years. The School is not exactly a great place to be anymore. I tried to go to a football game about 10 years ago. My Wife (Also C/O 85) and I said AW HELL NO! after a quarter and a half. Too many Punks walking around looking for trouble. Not a whole lot of pride. Also, it was gutted and totally remodeled about 15 years ago. Just not the same school. In fact, it's not even Lee anymore. It's called Riverside High.
Such a bummer because it USED to be a PREMIER School in Jacksonville.
