There's "The Mighty 8th Museum". IT. IS. AWESOME! I took my boys there about 13 years ago. There's even a Memorial Garden when people can place and mark the remains of former members. They have a real B-17 inside. A very cool Waist Gunner Simulator and alllllllllll sorts of memorabilia. I am WAY over due for a trip there. My SAC Base in Blytheville, Ark...Eaker AFB was a Branch of the 8th Air Force.
What I KNOW I will hate about going again is that the last time I went, I saw 5-6 old timers there. They were wearing their WWII Ball Caps. One of the Guides there was a B-17 Navigator. I doubt I will see that again.
