Anyone ever hear of a Singer from Britain named Vera Lynn?

I had never heard of her till my Son said he had recently started liking Music from the Big Band WWII era. Me being a WWII Buff and a fan of the Entertainers of that era, I was very surprised I had never heard of her. I did know of the song "White Cliffs Of Dover" but never knew the Singer. Last night after I got back from our Ravens / Chiefs outing, I looked up Vera Lynn. WHAT A LADY!! She did SOOOOOOOOO much for Troops in the UK in WWII and LONG afterwards. I was impressed that she insisted on performing deep into Burma, in very rough living conditions. She was the Bob Hope of the U.K. She passed away in 2020 at the age of 103.
