Music... St Louis.... Grooving.....

This would be my dream... to play music like this... grooving. So OK... right up front, this ain't for everyone. It's certainly not Rock, Heavy Rock, or anything like it... so proceed with caution.

This is Dave Weckl's St. Louis group.... one of them. Dave is one of my all time favorite drummers... his tech skills, his meter... second to none IMHO... but you will hear many drummer 'snobs' diss Dave. This is Dave playing an old favorite of mine "Use Me" by Bill Withers. I don't necessarily like Dave's version "better" than Bills... at all... two different animals. Bill's has a level of 'soul' that can't be topped.... but Dave's version has a groove to it that rattles my bones.
