Finally had a WhataBurger

There are no WhataBurgers or In-and-Outs in the St. Louis area so I figured I'd never ever know what they're like. I've read about them and have been wanting to taste them to see what all the fuss is about. Plus... I just love a good burger and fries!

When we were in Oklahoma City last week, I was looking for places to eat near the hotel and notices there was a WhataBurger about a mile away. I had rented a car for the weekend so I figured we'd have a chance to eat there at least once. We arrived at our hotel a couple of hours before our rooms were ready. So... we headed to WhataBurger for some lunch before check-in. I ordered a double with cheese and a fountain drink. The burger was good... but it didn't "Wow" me at all. To me it wasn't any better than the burgers at the local Sonic and it just didn't live up to the hype. The day we left, we got to the airport about 4 hours before our boarding time. There was a Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers near our gate so we decided to grab some lunch there. I actually liked the burger and shoestring fries from Freddy's much much more than the burger and fries from WhataBurger.

I'd pick Freddy's over WhataBurger hands down.

Update: I just found out there's a Freddy's about 15 minutes from my house!!.
