Maybe into the early 90's my uncle owned Point Sal. That's a point on the ocean just west of Santa Maria, Ca.... a few miles north of Vandenberg AFB. On his ranch there was a nearly 2 miles stretch of beach completely shut off from the Public.... only way to get to it was in a 4X4 or hiking... and if in a 4X4 you had to go thru 3 locked gates, trespassing if you didn't have permission. IOW... about as secluded as it gets.
Yeah, we got the occasional hiker but VERY few... it was fantastic! I miss it a lot.
