Here's a few:

"Trite or irritating phrase" = Translation

"Uses his legs" = He ran it
"Dialing up a blitz." (So, we're back to using landlines?)
“Now here’s a guy…” = [just wasted words--someone tell Collinsworth--who also likes "Are you kidding me?"]
"This kid..." = (no , a grown man)
"Frozen tundra" = Cold field
"Changed the complexion of the game" = Made an impact
"A real football player/made a football move/"football IQ"" = [just remove the word 'football' = same impact]
"Under duress" = felt pressure
"Offensive guru" = The OC
“Sneaky good athlete” = [I'll let you figure out why this in not the best phrase to use]
“Generational talent” = Played a couple of good years
"GOAT" = Played more than a couple good years
"Bats it with his big paws" = Knocked down the pass with his hands
"Waltzes into the end zone = Scored
"Take the top off the defense" = Guy's fast
"Got his bell rung" = Concussed
"Game manager" Not the best arm
"Matriculation" = (this means college enrollment, not 'advancing the ball downfield') (someone should have told Hank Stram)
"He put his foot in the ground.” = Made a cut
"Blue-collar team" = (aren't they all? They're playing football, not knitting)
"Indisputable video evidence" = Maybe
"At the quarterback position" = (wasted words-just don't use this)
"At war/in a battle" = (No, its's a football game)
"Beast mode" - (this one is reserved only for Marshawn)
